Woodland Scenics Static Grass comes in Realistic Colors and generous size containers. You are literally getting almost 3 times as much as the figure company brands for your money. In addition, its in very realistic colors. What many dont know or do with this product is do their own custom mixes. For my Napoleonic Peninsular terrain for example, I use a mix of ½ Medium Green, ¼ Light Green, and ¼ Harvest Gold. This gives the semi-arid look I want. Check the internet for pictures of the area you would like to model if you cant visit. Mix small batches in a large plastic bag by adding it in and then shaking. A paper funnel helps you get it back into a shaker container. Once you have a mix that feels right for your application, label the container with the mix ratio so you can do it again if you run out. Putting it on your figure bases, structure bases and your gaming base board can really bring everything together and look great. Dont be afraid to mix in some Woodland Scenics turf for special effects if you want. To glue it all down, Spray or use a pipette to apply Scenic Cement, then gently sprinkle it on by rubbing your fingers together about 6 to 8 inches away from the glue. Let it dry thoroughly and it should stand up nicely. Each canister is 50 cubic inches.
