Meeting House Church
This kit can build either a Meeting House or a Church with its optional parts. Lift off roof and interior detail.
This kit consists of 12 parts and 5 optional parts.
This kit represents a typical wood frame structure with lap siding. A common construction method used in North America from the early 1700s all the way through the middle of the 1900s. Buildings of this type could and still can be found nearly everywhere. Most small villages and towns would pool their resources to build a place to gather and discuss the town or counties business. It was quite common for these gathering places to also be the center for worship services on Sunday until the town or village grew large enough to support its own church. Besides a center for elections, Sunday service, and town meetings, meeting houses of this type could serve as a school, a meeting place for merchants and farmers, and in some cases the headquarters for the local militia. Steeples were a sign of prestige and pride at the time many of these buildings were constructed. They were built with and without bells in them depending on the available financing the town had for construction. For many small North American towns, the meeting house was the center of government and religious activities for 50 years or more. This kit has been designed with extra parts to allow you to make a Church, a Meeting Hall, or even a school.
This building is 7 inches high, eight inches long, and six inches wide.
This Product is intended for Adult modelers over the age of 14 and is not suitable for children.
